Kyomachiya, a machiya built 25 years ago in the Showa era, is the most traditional and oldest house in Kyoto.
The heyday of Kyomachiya can be traced back to the Edo period, and was replaced by wars and other years. The existing Kyomachiya is only less than 2% of the Edo period and is decreasing year by year.
Jing Machiya [Jinglan-Jingyuedi] is located in Gojo, Kyoto. Maintaining the traditional machiya design, with the concept of goodness, comfort, and boutique, decorated with traditional Japanese gardens, it will open to foreign tourists in 2018 in the spirit of staying with residents for a period of time.
There are maple trees planted in the small courtyard, which are green in spring and summer and red in frost and red in autumn and winter.
Our wish is to allow tourists to see the traditional Japanese house-building art with their own eyes, experience the simplicity and beauty of Kyomachiya, and at the same time let more people know the precious value of Kyomachiya.

Service Rules:
1. Cleaning rules: Bed sheets must be changed for each group of guests. Do not leave a hair of the previous group of customers for the next customer.
2. 24 hours for consultation and reservation.
3. Chinese who have lived in Japan for 17 years in Kyoto can help you recommend tourist spots, restaurants, and help you make reservations.
4. Protect the rights of customers so that they have a reliable harbor in foreign countries.

The whole machiya house is rented out, so the whole house belongs to you after the reservation is successful.

Customers coming from Kansai Airport:
1 You can take the HARUKA Shinkansen from Kansai Airport to Kyoto Station (2850 yen, about 80 minutes), and then take a taxi from Kyoto Station to the Machiya. (Kyoto Station has a special taxi stand, 700 yen, 5 minutes)
2. You can also book a MK taxi from Kansai Airport in advance to go directly to the homestay. (2 hours, 4200 yen)
